“Contemplative Gathering”

Contemplation and centering prayer are spiritual practices.  

Our Christian contemplative roots date back to Jesus in the desert, a place where he often went to be with God.  It was carried forward by the "Desert Mothers and Fathers" of the 3rd century who were fleeing persecution because of their faith.  

We gather on Mondays at 4 pm and invite anyone who might find themselves seeking a closer union with God through readings, scripture, music, centering prayer, and silence.  It is a time to just be present with God and let the Holy Spirit refresh your soul; it's a way to go back to the spiritual well and replenish that well-spring within us so we can go back into the world and do Christ's work with renewed compassion, mercy, and courage.
