Preschool Mission and Vision

Vision Statement

Elkin Presbyterian Church recognizes that all children are creative and curious; that all children need to succeed; and that each child is a unique individual created by God for a special purpose. Our church’s mission is to help children develop active, creative minds; a sense of understanding and compassion for others; and the confidence to succeed in elementary school. We stress the total development of each child: spiritual, educational, intellectual, social, emotional and physical.
Therefore, we seek to create a challenging learning environment that encourages high expectations for success through development-¬appropriate instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles. We promote a safe, orderly, caring and supportive environment, and each student’s self-¬esteem is fostered by positive relationships with other students and staff. We also strive to have our parents, teachers, community members and church congregation actively involved in our students’ learning. It is the church’s mission to meet these needs through supplemental educational, financial and facility support.
